- Jimmy Stewart, Ralph Nader, Christopher Reeve and John Lithgow all grew up in Princeton.
- The television show House, M.D. is filmed on location at Princeton University.
- In November 1869, the first American intercollegiate football game was played between Princeton University and Rutgers.
- Princeton was the setting of the 1994 movie I.Q. staring Meg Ryan and Walter Matthau.
- In 1915 Princeton High School welcomed students of all races even though segregation was still the norm in the area.
- Princeton University has existed in the community since 1756.
- Every member of the band Blues Traveler and Chris Baron, lead singer of the Spin Doctors, all attended Princeton High School.
- Present day Princeton Battlefield Park is the preserved site of the 1777 Battle of Princeton, a victory for the United States over the British.
- Former president Grover Cleveland bought a house in Princeton during his second term in office. He remained in the community until his death and his body is now buried in the Princeton Cemetery.
- Former presidents Woodrow Wilson and James Madison were both alumni of Princeton University.
- The Academy Award winning film, A Beautiful Mind, was filmed in Princeton.
- Grover Cleveland’s daughter, Ruth Cleveland, whom the Baby Ruth candy bar is named after; is buried in Princeton Cemetery.
- Albert Einstein came to Princeton in 1933 and remained there until he passed away in 1955.
